Welcome to the website of the EISHINKAI, the Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido Dojo of Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Be sure to read the 9 February 2007 entry on the News page for current update on the Eishinkai in western North Carolina.

The Northern Virginia Eishinkai was established in May of 2000 as a means of promoting the study of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido in Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. area.  The Eishinkai was founded by Gregory W. Huff who holds a Hachidan Hanshi rank in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido.  A page containing a brief outline of Mr. Huff's history in Japanese Budo has been included.  Although the Eishinkai was established in the northern Virginia area, it's center of activities has moved to western North Carolina, where Mr. Huff currently resides.

Anyone who is interested in training or knowing more about this style may contact us for more information.  For those who don't know what Iaido is, a page has been included which contains a brief description of Iaido and how it is practiced.

We hope this site will be informative and interesting.  If you have comments about this site or if you have questions about Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, the Eishinkai or about Iaido in general, please contact us by e-mail.  Please let us know if you find errors in the site so we may correct them.
